1. Self – concerns: ability to teach; class control; discipline.
Personal attributes (positive attitude to pupils, fair dealings with pupils, respect for pupils, enthusiasm)


- Ability to teach:
My ability to teach is just on average level. For e.g. my lesson on using paint program.
On their first learning on the new lesson like using the computer, they fell excited and make noise. Then I have to make them focus on my lesson and stop to make noise


- Class control
I can control my students. If my students make noise and disturb their friends, I would give punishment to them for e.g. stand up during the lesson but they still do their work without sitting down on the chair.

- Discipline
I don't mind they don't finish their work because I would let them to continue to next week.

2. Task concerns: Teaching tasks such as big classes; inadequate instructional materials.

- Learning environment.
Before the lesson I will switch ON the computer. Students have to share the computer but they still can learn from it. My cooperating teacher can fix computer that have problem.

- Teachers’ expectation:
For this year 1, only 30% students can use computer. My students still play around and always noisy. There are 20 plus of my students that have different characters. Therefore I need a time to teach how to use it.

3. Impact – learning concerns: needs of pupils; about themselves as individuals, the tasks and contents of the teaching process and impact of their teaching on pupil behaviours.

- Attention to individual
I would like them to discover the use of computer by themselves. This will give them an experience, from here I will discover the weakness of each my students by looking from their work. From here, I would guide them, teach and development their knowledge. Sometime I give an exercise, from here I can know either they can understand or not.

Lecture/ Tutorial on 26 February 2009

For next week, I need to redo again the uses of mouse, keyboard, monitor and system unit. First they all switch ON the system unit and monitor, then by clicking the icon by using mouse, then by typing text using keyboard in notepad program. they will typing text that I typed on IWB, I only use small letter because I just want them to learn how to typing the text using keyboard. The text are:



and then they save file as "myfile.txt". Finally, close the program.

ICT SUBJECT

For My Students Class Year 1A, my student learn how to use 4 basic parts of computer (System Unit, Monitor, Keyboard and Mouse). First, I show to them the functions of 4 basics parts of computer then the step how to switch ON System Unit and Monitor using Activstudio program on IWB.





Then I let them all to choose their partners and go to computer table and let them try to switch ON system unit and monitor. Then let them to launch notepad program through start menu, program, accessories and then launch the notepad program. My objective was not achieved because time is not enough and my time almost used to control them from playing around in the lab. Some of them still struggle in using computer and the program. May be the way I teach them is more difficult for them. Therefore, I want to change my teach because my students still like to play around in the lab and still cannot catch up what I'm teach, I want to use a step-by-step to teach them. By this way of teaching includes some pictures, I can show to them which steps they have to follow first in using the parts of computers until they use notepad program for typing text using keyboard.

Teaching Practice on 16 February 2009

ENGLISH LANGUAGE SUBJECT


Today, My Students Class Year 2A learn English Language Unit 6: In the Ulu. In this topic, I let my students read simple composition of "Siti go to market" using Activstudio program and let them guess the local fruits' name. After asking them and select them in randomly to go in front and write an answer using Activstudio program on IWB, I give them 12 exercises which related to what they learn today.

TOPIC: BASIC PARTS OF THE COMPUTER
SUB-TOPIC: KEYBOARD AND MOUSE

OBJECTIVE:
• IDENTIFY AND NAME THE KEYBOARD AND MOUSE
• IDENTIFY THE FUNCTION OF THE KEYBOARD AND MOUSE
• DEMONSTRATE THE SKILLS IN USING KEYBOARD AND MOUSE USING NOTEPAD

PROCEDURES:
• INTRODUCE THE KEYBOARD AND MOUSE
Show the pupils the keyboard and mouse. Ask the pupils to guess what the thing is.
• INTRODUCE THE FUNCTION OF THE KEYBOARD AND MOUSE
Ask the pupils what is the keyboard and mouse. Discuss the function of the keyboard and mouse with pupils.
• INSTRUCT PUPILS TO SWITCH ON THE COMPUTER
Pupils will switch on the computer.
• INSTRUCT THE PUPILS TO LAUNCH THE NOTEPAD APPLICATION

Teaching Practice on 9 February 2009

Today, I start teaching English subject using Activstudio on IWB and give my student Year 2A an exercise in class time.


Same also with my student Year 1A, ICT subject. I present my teaching material using Activstudio on IWB and give an exercise to them.

Teaching Practice on 2 February 2009

Not yet teach English Subject because still need to learn and observe my mentor (Cg Nurrooqiyah). Today my mentor teach on Unit 4 on My Day using Activstudio on IWB and she give an exercise for her pupils.



For my ICT class, Year 1A, today I start my teaching on the basic parts of computer.

Public Holiday.... Selamat Tahun Baru Cina
