Teaching Practice on 27 April 2009

Today is my last Teaching Practice at Sekolah Rendah Rimba 1. Today my time table had been changed. I only have 2 subjects; which are ICT subject Year 1A and English Language Year 2A.

Today for ICT subject, my pupils Year 1A learn on drawing shape using the tools in Paint program. I introduce to them some tools in Paint program for e.g. air brush, rectangle shape etc. Then I lets to try on the tools, this will help them to have an experience by themselves.

For English Language subject, my pupils Year 2A, they learn Unit 13: At the farm. They read the events using past tense sentences. Then let them to identified the name of animals that live at the farm. My learning material is using Active Studio, there are 2 exercises; exercise 1 and exercise 2. On exercise 1, there are 6 questions and 6 selected pupils participated to answer each question. For exercise 2, there are 12 questions and 12 selected pupils participated in answering each question.

Below is document about my Lesson Plan on ICT subject for Year 1A and 3B; and English Language Year 3B. For ICT subject Year 3B, my lesson had been took by cikgu Zuno (my cooperating teacher), this is because due to subject clash. Which is English Language period has to be change at 11.30 am till 12.30 pm. Therefore my ICT subject at 12 pm till 12.30 pm were took by cikgu Zuno.

For ICT Subject, my pupils Year 1A still learn using MS Word Office. There are 2 pupils share 1 computer and I let them to type in text using MS Word program. This is one example of one partner's work

For ICT Subject, continue the lesson on using Microsoft Word Office. I ask pupils on how to launch the program, ask selected pupils to type in their name using different font style and size. Let them use Bold, Italic and Underline.

WORKSHOP ON HOT POTATOES ON 7th APRIL 2009

My English Cooperating Teacher ask me to give workshop on Hot Potatoes for all teachers in Sekolah Rendah Rimba 1. This workshop is start at 2 p.m. The venue is at ICT lab at SRR1.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE YEAR 2A

Year 2A, today they learn unit 10: This is my family. I use hot potatoes as my learning material. First stage, I ask them about their family. Then second stage is I ask them to read short passage about Rosni’s family, grandparents and her uncle’s family. Then, there are two exercises in this learning material. Selected pupils will fill in the answer in the blank box. Then after they complete all the exercises, I give them class work, they have to complete it in the class.

ICT SUBJECT YEAR 1A

For Year 1A, today they learn using Microsoft Word. They learn some basic tools in Microsoft Word, like type of font, font size,italic, blod, underline and font color. Selected pupils will launch the MS Word program then let them try some basic tools.

Today, for English Language, I recall back Unit 9: Left and Right. I teach Year 2A. Today I am fully used the Hot potatoes program for my teaching material. Below are some pictures that I printscreen from my offline hotpotatoes program:







I am using this program because I need to apply this learning material to English Language and it relate to my course ICT in English Language. I need a feedback from my CT English Language and my pupils in Year 2A.

For ICT subject, I teach Year 1A. Today recall back on how to switch ON monitor and system unit. How to launch the Notepad program. I achieve to introduce my pupils on how to launch Microsoft Words.
